”I consider it my fortune to act in our film ‘Sankara Varaprasad’…”
”A new generation must step into the film industry. Many films should be made with fresh ideas and novel stories. Newcomers entering the industry will always have the support of senior actors like me,” said senior actor Chitti, alias Chandana Lakshmi Narasimha Rao. Speaking to the media recently on the occasion of completing 40 years in the film industry, he added, “I have been in the industry since the time it shifted from Madras to Hyderabad. I have worked with everyone, from the directors of those days to the current generation of filmmakers. Since everyone started calling me ‘Chitti’, it eventually became my permanent screen name.
It is my good fortune to have shared the silver screen with all the leading heroes in the industry. So far, I have acted as a lead hero in 5 films, played pivotal roles in 170 films, and acted in several web series across Telugu, Tamil, and Kannada languages. I am extremely happy to have received numerous awards and accolades in my 40-year cinematic journey.
Many of the films I acted in, such as Pachchani Samsaram, Rowdy Annayya, Master, Gowtham SSC, Tagore, Ranam, Ishq, Pokiri, Krack, Legend, Akhanda, Sarileru Neekevvaru, Veera Simha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, have achieved massive success. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have played a wonderful role in the recently released film ‘Sankara Varaprasad’. Currently, this movie is successfully streaming on the popular OTT platform ZEE5. I request the audience to watch this film and support us. Along with this, I am currently acting in several other movies and web series,” he concluded.
