Nishabdha Prema Movie Review & Rating

These days, content-driven films are receiving great appreciation from the audience. With the rise of OTT platforms, viewers have started enjoying films across all languages. Especially, thrillers with gripping narratives and unexpected twists till the end are drawing people to theatres. ‘Nishabdha Prema’ seems to belong to that category. Already a big hit in Tamil, this film now comes to Telugu audiences on May 23. So what’s it all about? Is it thrilling enough? Does it have content that clicks with Telugu viewers? Let’s find out.
Story:
The movie opens with Sandhya (Priyanka Thimmesh) being chased by a masked man inside her home, trying to kill her. She escapes, runs out into the street, and gets hit by a vehicle. A man named Raghu admits her to the hospital, but due to a head injury, she loses her memory. Raghu pretends to be her husband and takes her home, taking care of her lovingly. One day, Sandhya finds an old diary and realizes that the man with her is not Raghu, but someone named Vignesh (Sriram). Meanwhile, the real Raghu (Vyaan) files a missing complaint for his wife. Commissioner Edward (Harish Peradi) begins the investigation and suspects that Sandhya is with the ‘Unanimous Killer.’
Who is Vignesh, and why did he bring Sandhya to his house? How did Sandhya escape from him? What is the real identity of Raghu? What role does Sheela (Niharika Pathro), Raghu’s personal secretary, play in this mystery? Who actually tried to kill Sandhya? All these questions are answered in Nishabdha Prema
Performances & Technical Aspects:
Sriram steals the show as the cold-blooded killer Vignesh. He’s intense, ruthless, and composed, perfectly fitting into the dual shades of his character. He’s no stranger to such roles and shows his experience throughout. Priyanka Thimmesh, as Sandhya, shoulders the film. Her performance as a vulnerable yet strong woman stands out.
Niharika Pathro, though in a brief role as Sheela, sizzles on screen and leaves a mark with her glam appeal. Vyaan, playing Raghu, impresses with both his looks and innocence, especially as the story progresses. Harish Peradi and the rest of the supporting cast also do justice to their roles.
Technically, the film is solid. Zubin’s background score elevates key moments, giving the feel of a big hero film. The cinematography fits the mood perfectly, and the editing is crisp. Though a couple of scenes feel slightly slow, the thrilling elements quickly take over. Production values are commendable — it feels like a straight Telugu film rather than a dubbed one. Director Raj Dev stays true to his script and keeps the narrative tight and engaging.
What works well is how the film jumps straight into the story without wasting time on lengthy intros. There are only two songs rightly placed and they don’t disturb the flow. The director keeps the audience engaged from the beginning till the end. By mid-film, you get a hint about who the villain might be, but the suspense about how he will be caught sustains interest. The climax is convincing, and the dialogues especially by Sriram justify the title Nishabdha Prema (Silent Love).
Final Verdict:
With strong performances, solid technical work, and an engaging screenplay, ‘Nishabdha Prema delivers a good theatrical experience. It keeps you hooked with its twists and explanations. If you’re in the mood for a suspenseful ride, give this one a try.
